I was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s disease. I was weak, stooped over, not walking properly, no balance whatsoever. Melissa is an awesome trainer. She takes the time to study your body and point out your strengths and weaknesses. She has helped me to work on my core strength and improve my posture.
I like her approach to breaking down exercises in simple steps to make sure when you pull it all together that you are in the correct form. She also keeps you accountable for your workouts, cardio and diet.

Melissa changed my life in a number of ways that I cannot possibly limit it to a paragraph, but here goes a try.- My body was in shambles three years post Lupus diagnosis. The changes in my diet made my body feeling stronger than it had been in months! She guided me from the basic exercises, and the basics were all I thought I was capable of. Doing push-ups, running on the treadmill, lifting heavier weights, I thought that was all completely impossible.
I have worked with Melissa in both personal training and group settings. I have multiple physical problems but after a few sessions my pain disappeared like magic. When I started with Melissa I was almost unable to get up from sitting but soon after I became stronger in my back, legs, etc. It was unbelievable how quick it happened. Melissa is very knowledgeable about the body and what to do to correct a problem. I would recommend her exercise program for seniors or to anyone that needs their body strengthened.
Working with Melissa has noticeably improved my overall well-being. She is professional, knowledgeable and a great instructor that gives personalized instruction and attention. After working the Steps, I’m feeling so much better with many improvements, especially better mobility, I can get up and down steps and out of the car and chair more efficiently without pain. I rely less on my cane while walking and I feel more secure in my balance. My back and joints have minimal pain and my body strength is much improved.
I’m enjoying traveling to see my family and social events again, my mood is happier! I want everyone to know that you are never too old at Age 90 to get healthier and stronger.
I had severe sciatica and nothing helped me. Since going to and exercising with Melissa, my problems had gone down to a minimum. Since Melissa has been my trainer, I have seen so much improvement. My lower back pain has greatly improved. She is an excellent trainer, patient, caring and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend her fitness program.
Melissa is a very capable and motivated trainer. She spends time to understand your issues and develops a plan to address them. She finds workarounds if you can’t do certain elements. Inevitably you feel better after a workout even if you felt at first you couldn’t do a workout that day. When I stopped making progress she suggested I see a neurologist. I did and that led to the discovery of a significant health issue that required brain surgery to correct. But it was correctable and now I’m in the recovery phase. She really helped me!! I can’t say enough good things about her.
Melissa is a wonderful trainer not only for very able-bodied people but those with problems. I have difficulty with one leg and she understands and helps me to do what I can!

I’ve been using the Feel Better Fitness Brew & Move exercises for about 90 days. Three weeks after I began the program I canceled my knee surgery! I’ve been playing pickleball twice a week ever since and my back and knees feel great. I give the program an A+ and I'm excited to start the newly released Foundations Steps program.
